Transparency and Equal Pay Report
The Transparency and Equal Pay Report, which is the subject of Law No. 14.611/2023 and is prepared by the Ministry of Labor, is based on the methodology developed by the Ministry of Labor itself:
a) comprehensively compares the salaries and wages of women and men for the year 2022;
b) considers the categories of the Major Groups of the Brazilian Classification of Occupations (“CBO”), regardless of hierarchical level, work activity, actual function, performance, time in the company or time in the position; and,
c) contains anonymized data, in accordance with the General Personal Data Protection Act.
The “Major Groups of the Brazilian Classification of Occupations” is understood to be the classification adopted by the Ministry of Labor that groups together different types of work/professional activities that exist throughout the country, without differentiating between regulated professions and those that are free to exercise their profession.
By not taking into account the different positions and levels within the company, the methodology used by the Ministry of Labor does not compare women and men who perform jobs of equal value or who perform the same function.
